Painted: First batch of Warriors of Minas-Tirith

This is the first time that I can use the new statistics category. I painted those miniatures, but did not base them yet, as I don't have any ideas as to what I want to do with them. Find some cobbled streets stl (or a roller of that kind), slap some texture paste and call it a day? Or something else entirely?

This is the next of my "at least 1 miniature/day" projects, carried over from the last days of December 2024. I have one more sprue of those miniatures ready to assemble and paint, as well as Boromir, Denethor and Faramir for this faction, so it's entirely possible that they will land on the painting desk sooner rather than later.

If you like the result and would like something similar for you models, here's the recipe:

  1. Slapchop gradient + Grey Seer on the face of the model
  2. Black Legion on the skirt, sleeves, belts and shield
  3. Black Templar on the scabbard, grip of the sword and the "body" of the quiver
  4. Wyldwood on the hair
  5. Guilliman Flesh on the face
  6. Cygor Brown on the bow/haft of the spear
  7. Skeleton Horde on the fletchings of the arrows
  8. Corax White on the White Tree symbol on the shield
  9. Retributor Armour on the decorative element on the spear, pommel and hilt of the sword as well as the decorative elements on the scabbard and quiver
  10. Leadbelcher on the armour, sword and other "steel" elements
  11. Nuln Oil on all the metal elements
  12. Stormhost Silver drybrush over the metal elements
Taking a photo of these models was not that easy and the models are less shiny in reality than they are in the picture. The camera was rebelling against me, not wanting to focus on the front row etc. The result above is the best I managed to achieve for now.
