Finished: GrimCorp Elder

Yesterday evening I decided to have a little palate cleanser after painting the 5th goblin in my 1 mini/day system and complement the goblin model painted in the morning with some a sci-fi character. I painted this minature with Space Weirdos in mind, but I think that I could use him in a variety of different games!

The Model

This is the GrimCorp Elder, designed by StationForge. It comes in four parts: the body, the empty hand, the hand with the staff and the head (available in two variants) and I 3d printed it on my trusty Mars 2p. The elements are neither too thick nor too feeble and assembly was easy.

The Scheme

  1. Slapchop underpainting
  2. White on the ball on the top of his staff and the lenses
  3. Turnbull Turquise (Army Painter) for the main part of the robe
  4. Skeleton Horde (Citadel) for the tabard and the trim of the cape
  5. Satchel Brown (Army Painter) for boots, gloves and belt
  6. Gore-grunta Fur (Citadel) for pouches
  7. Shyish Purple (Citadel) for the cape
  8. Black Legion (Citadel) for the staff and cables
  9. Frostheart (Citadel) for the ball and eyelense
  10. Shamrock Green (Army Painter) for the rest of the lenses and screens
  11. True Brass (Army Painter) for most of the metals (majority of the breastplate and helmet plus the bracers)
  12. Heavy Metal (Army Painter) for the majority of the remaining metals
  13. Screaming Bell (Citadel) for a few bits and bobs that we don't want to be neither brass nor steel
  14. Grimdark Shadow (Army Painter) for the metals
